Neighbors who lived in the same estate with the Moleen Akinyi say that yesterday evening, they noticed that there was a foul smell emanating from Moleen Akinyi's house. The neighbors suspects that she committed suicide moments after poisoning her three children; Brandon (10), Trevor (6), and Raddy (1).
According to one neighbor who has identified herself as Habib Abdalla, they were not aware of Moleen Akinyi's whereabouts for a couple of days. She says that they saw flies getting into the house and that is when they noticed that there was unpleasant smell coming from the house. This caused tension among the residents and that is when they sensed something was wrong.
At that time, the neighbors called the landlord of the plot who later informed the police after suspecting that something had gone wrong.
The neighbors have described late Moleen Akinyi's husband as a person who is silent and polite. They say that Akinyi's husband last went to visit his family last year and that is when he reported back to duty in Somalia. Akinyi's husband has been identified as Felix Omondi Pande and is said to be a KDF officer.
"Akinyi was our good neighbor. She was polite and never quarreled with anyone. She came here last year but was so silent and we never thought she could do such a thing. We had not seen her for a couple of days and we got concerned where she might be. So when we noticed the foul smell, that is when we got shocked and sought help," Stella, another neighbor of Moleen Akinyi added.
